Go, he's fantastic.

My mother didn't like him at first because "he never opens his eyes when he sings."

I had to gently say to her, but Mum, he's blind...

i know... i think it's one of those things where i'm going to really regret not going... just have to pull the trigger on the cost ;) :D

OMG, did you see his wife!

umm... no

bought the tickets. floor seats at the MCI center in washington DC, middle section, 16th row. not too shabby, but not great either... i think i'm taking my brother- we'll see if he's up for it...

very excited!:D

I saw him at the Proms in the Park in London in September. Absolutely amazing voice and the emotion really carries over; his range of both arias and popular Italian airs are beautiful. I'm much more a fan of tenors than sopranos.

Funny this thread should pop up - I've been singing his version of Con te partirò for the past few days ;)

my only concern is that there won't be enough of just "him"- it's being billed as a "Christmas Event" or something or other...

ah well, he doesn't come around often as it is, have to take the opportunities when they present themselves...

Please keep practising, so you can give us a rendition when we meet up next week ;)
