So Cal
Is there something out there that would allow you to type like you can on Andriod phones?
Like you drag around the screen and it imputes a letter when you stop on it?

Unfortunately Apple do not allow you to replace the keyboard the way it can be done in Android, so you're stuck with what they gave you.

Ok haha I thought maybe there was a hackable app for it but obviously not. Thanks!

You're referring to the Swype keyboard. I use this on my Nexus One and it's the best way to type on any phone I've used. Anyway, as the previous poster stated, Apple does not allow you to do this so nope, Swype does not exist for the iPhone.

the only reason you cannot use "Swype keyboard" on iphone is becasue it's pretty hard to type the word "Apple" (two of the same letters in a row created an issue) so Apple got pissed off and didn't allow it on the iPhone. :p
True story, no kidding, fair enough :D

EDIT: all jokes aside, I just watched a YouTube video on Swype keyboard for droid, and it's a pretty damn nifty feature, someone please make this for the iPhone, it actually makes typing fun!!

Yes it is. I really wish some1 would make this. Idk if you can change the keyboard for everything though :/

After seeing this thread and a little research i found Shapewriter Pro, a text writer app that can export to mail and sms..
AppStore Link
and another called SlideIT, which is coming soon (apparently) to the iphone.
YouTube Vid
Dasur SlideIT site
Being its own app is not ideal but it gives hope!
