Has anyone use this and is it worth a download? Or is there something better?

I use Zoner AV, mainly b/c i researched on the android forums and many users recommend it over Lookout.

I use Avast but this is simply protection from myself more than anything.

My Nexus 4 is my first Android device and I didn't know what I was doing so wanted an additional layer of security.

I've had no problems and as such won't be using AV on my future Android devices

Using any sort of antivirus software is stupid and a waste of system resources...

Just don't go off downloading and installing APKs from random websites or sketchy app stores and you will have no problem.

Disagree I've had a drive by download that automatically was picked up by dr web lite. I was just browsing and some android protect av downloaded on my phone.

This was last year before I switched to iPhone.

I've had over a dozen different Android phones. Never ran an AV, dont plan on it. Don't be dumb and install every random thing and you should be fine

This is right.

They are an absolute waste of system resources and the type of misleading scare mongering these companies engage in is terrible.

Since I like going outside the Play Store for some apps (because Google won't let 'em on there) I do have Avast installed. It's very good, never had a problem with it.

I also like the anti-theft features, the firewall feature, the call blocker, and all the other awesome stuff it has. It's not just an anti-virus scanner, it's an all-round privacy and security deal.
