anyone else think it would be nice if it was offered as an option like a dual boot option maybe with windows 8 when it was released, this would allow customer choice and stuff

ios is nice but lets be honest its pretty boring and stuff and i would like fish moving background but ios no have it android does.

vote if u agree

They have Android for the iPhone, but it's not a great implementation and limited in functionality. If you want Android, like the person above said, go get an Android device.

What would be the point of running dual booting?

On a desktop it makes sense so that you can run Windows applications on your desktop, but developers already port everything from iOS to Android and vice versa so there really isn't a lot of advantages (since everything is available on both platforms). Mac gaming is pretty limited which is another major reason for dual booting, BUT in the phone world, Android tends to be more limited. Any apps that aren't available on one platform or another are either made by the OS company (i.e. Apple or Google) or aren't compatible for whatever reason (i.e. widgets on the iphone).

Another thing to consider, is that a phone is meant to be on at all times to get CALLS (it's #1 purpose). IF you are busy dual booting between OS's, then you are going to miss it's #1 purpose right?

LOL at the downvotes. Man some of you people are mean!

----------

As an owner of both Iphones and Androids, the most important thing missing from the Iphone (in my opinion) is widgets.

x2. Before yesterday I would've said the notification taskbar also but iOS5 takes care of that.

I dont get this tbh there called mobil phone not cell phones anyway

From Wikipedia: A mobile phone (also known as a cellular phone, cell phone and a hand phone)

It's called different things in different parts of the world.

As for wanting Android on iPhone.. no, it would be crap, and we know this because people already tried it and it sucked.

thanks for the votes guys 24 is my best, how come i got so many votes but bad coments ??

down vote? whats a down vote? up to 27 now anyway

There are 2 arrows to rate posts: one pointing up, meaning you like it; one pointing down, meaning you don't like it.

At the time I posted this, your original post has a rating of -29 which means most people don't like the idea of a dual boot iPhone.

That "not sure if troll" meme would be perfect here.

Anyways, Android on iPhones have been tried. It doesn't work too well. Go get an iPhone 3G or the first iPhone if you want Froyo on your iPhone.

And by your post there are two arrows. An up arrow which results in your votes being moved 1 in the positive direction (an upvote, from 0 -> 1), or a down arrow which results in your votes being moved in the NEGATIVE direction (0 -> -1, a downvote).

-1=/= 1, just as 27 =/= -27.
