Last iPhone I had was an iPhone 4S, made the switch to Android and kind of never looked back.

But I'm really intrigued by this 11 Pro Max and will be ordering mine this week.

I'll be coming from a Note 8 with Nova Launcher with a super empty home screen with swipe gesture to pull up my apps and double tap to text as the main two things I feel I will miss.

What should I expect?

Superior messaging app with iMessage. Excellent apps in the App Store. Crazy good battery life. iOS smoothness. No eventual slowdown like Android. 5 years of software updates.

Hardly any customization of home screen though. No SD card support.

I had SD cards in my phones, but never really utilized them, where i DID utilize it was my Galaxy Tab S2 for media.

Really excited to get back onto iMessage, thinking of swapping my Tab S2 for an iPad, but not too sold on that yet, I already have a MacBook Air, so iMessage will come into place there.

One thing that could salvage the home screen customization thing would maybe have no apps except just one on the first page? Is that possible?

I've not no gripes in terms of slowdown from any android phone I've had, but I always just throw nova launcher, so every time I get a new phone, it becomes the same phone. Really just wanted to re learn the iOS side, and the gesture function really intrigues me

I'd say my MAIN worry is YouTube.

I stream YouTube so much for my commute and during work, but I've heard some bad things about the YouTube app for iOS

Yes, but unlike with Android you don't get to choose where it goes. It's going to go to the top left and stay there.

In past I would move all but one app to second and third pages. Leaving only one app on home page. That could also be a folder on first page where it you tap it it opens up to reveal multiple apps. Create folder by dropping one app on top of another.

So anyone have feedback on the YouTube app for the 11 Pro? Lol

As long as I can get 1080p streaming i'll be happy.

I believe it does support 1080p. You can't get any higher due to a big feud between Apple and Google. It sucks.
It sucks, but I did read that the X did eventually get HDR compatibility, so maybe I can hope? Not the biggest deterrent though, just a minor bump in the road
