iPhone Android to Ios transfer

I did a transfer of data for someone the other day and it was largely successful other than music that is stored on an SD card which is in the Android device. I used the 'Transfer to ios' app and set up the iphone as a 'transfer from android' and all contacts, photos and messages transferred successfully but no music. I was not given any more options to transfer from the SD card.

Questions:
- any idea why they would not have been transferred?
- how can I transfer them without using ITunes?
