i have an android tv box, its from androidsticks, but they cant resolve my problem.
im in portugal. i use the box to get the free uk channels through XBMC and FTV or filmon.
it worked great for about a year. i often got scripterrors especially if i had been using other apps on it, but resetting always fixed it.
im not sure what set off the problems. i was on holiday for a few weeks. i came back, and for some daft reason i decided to install a new beta of kodi which id read about. up to that point i had the preinstalled xbmc older version, worked fine, filled with androidsticks stuff, and a separate installation of kodi with just ftv on it, both worked fine.
the installation of the newest kodi told me that files might move and it might cause problems going back to an older version....but i went ahead.
it didnt seem to work, and now i had 3 installations, but the two previous ones didnt work either, always script errors.
eventually after trying everything, i factory reset my box, it goes back to the custom install from androidsticks with xbmc and all the files.
thats all i need to do surely.
but no, every uk channel gets script errors from the FTV app. tried the older filmon app, the same.
now there is a separate filmon app, that is in the android store and doesnt need XBMC, but its clunky and doesnt work well with a remote. it works fine though even though the streams will be the same!
so i update XBMC using androidsticks built in updater.
same problems. well weirdly the least used minor channels, the music channels at the bottom of the list all work. nothing else does.
the old filmon clunky app works. surely that tells me its not my router, not my isp, not the streams....
install xbmc on my mac, install ftv...works fine...so its not a problem between my isp or router and ftv...
but the channels still cant be played through XBMC.
its doing my nut in !
