Hey I am new! I am here from Android. I used to have an iPod touch that was absolute garbage and quit after 2 years. I am wanting to upgrade from a galaxy s9+ to the XR mainly because I am just not liking the Android software and there are some iOS apps I need to use. I have used my friends 6s and really enjoyed using that more lol. How do I get started in getting familiar with the iPhone world and be cool like the rest of you? Tee hee

Go to the Apple store and take a look at the new phones. Try them in hand (as it were) for a good while and see which one you like the best. Purchase one of the phones and try it for 14 days. If you find you don't like it, you can return it for a full refund, so that you can purchase a different model etc.

This forum is one of the best live references for accurate information you can find, in my opinion. If you hove questions after your purchase, this is the place to ask.

There are no apple stores by me and I have seen a X at my mobile carrier. The thing is, owning it is always different than holding it while it is chained up. I'm looking for something with good battery life, what do you all suggest?

If battery life is the main thing, then XR or XS Max (as @BasicGreatGuy mentioned). If you'd prefer Touch ID instead of Face ID, then I'd recommend the 8 Plus.

Xs Max if you want to be totally future proofed and don't upgrade every year.

Don't let the Xr be your first iPhone. You're already used to OLED, so don't downgrade.

This site and YouTube will have you up to speed in no time. Check out iPhone videos from MKBHD, Mr. Whose The Boss, and Flossy Carter. They're my most viewed subscriptions.

Welcome to the family!!!

Few people wouldn’t call it a downgrade .... just saying
