My Klipsch S4's recently broke for the second time in less than a year of owning them. The problem has been the same both times. I treat my headphones with care, and yet their is some sort of malfunction at the input connector that causes audio issues. I'm forced to hold the connector in one specific place (found by simply playing with the connector) to get the audio to come through without problems.
Obviously I need to either have Klipsch replace/repair the headphones again or simply look for a new set of headphones. The one thing that stood about the S4's was that it incorporates an angled input connector as many IEM's do these days. (See photo below.) My previous headphones had always been straight input connectors and I never had this issue (that I'm having now) in the past.
In almost every instance where I'm using my headphones they are in my front pocket unless I'm using the touchscreen to navigate. Is there any chance that this angled connector is actually causing my problems? I'm seriously considering seeking out a straight input connector in my next IEM's in order to avoid this situation/to see if this was maybe the root of the problem.
