Don't make the same mistake I did and waste your time, O2 customer services and O2 shops dont always agree.
Wanting to upgrade my original iPhone but to cut a long story short the account is in my mums name. Realising that this might be a problem I contacted O2 to see if I would require my her with me in store to upgrade, several staff at O2 customer services told me that as long as I had ID and proof of address for my mum and myself and knew the master password for the account there would be absolutely no problem at all and that I could do the upgrade on my own. (she works night so not really practical to drag her to a store).
Well yesterday I found out that my local store had stock back in so off I went and once I made it to the front of the cue I was flatly refused an iPhone as I wasnt my mum. I was also the third person that day to make the same mistake.
I wouldnt be so bothered if O2 hadnt themselves told me I could do this.
