There has to be someone out there just as excited as me for this game. I'm a huge Animal Crossing fan and I cannot wait to play this! I won't be able to get my copy until late in the week, but I figured I would start a discussion now, considering the game is being released in less than 24 hours.

So is anyone getting it right away? Let's trade friend codes once we get them. I'd like to start collecting some foreign fruit for profit. :)
 
I might get it but I think the AC formula works better on handheld systems. If it charms me over I'll probably get it regardless.
 
Probably get it regardless as it's been ages since I touched the wii other than to play a bit of wario.
 
Hello everyone. I'm new to MacRumors and will puruse the rest of the forums, but a quick question first.

I have Animal Crossing: City for the Wii and Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS. It won't let me add friend codes either direction. Why? I thought I would be able to take my character from the DS to visit the Wii town, but no success so far. :(

First visit Copper to get your friend code. Then select the "heart" from the bottom menu to register friend codes. From the opening screen with Rover, select DS suitcase to transfer your Animal Crossing Wild World character over to the Wii version.

Kinda want it, Amazon had it for 29.99, was gonna pick it up, but the deal ran out.

Idk, my Wii hasn't gotta a ton of love, I play my other consoles on an LCD which the Wii doesn't hook up to(it only has DVI and VGA) plus a lack of good new games.
 
Well I have it..... it's just Animal Crossing DS on the Wii with nothing really new....

In fact the formulae needs a shake up. Really the game hasn't changed since the gamecube version, and if anything I prefer the GC version over this Wii version.

In fact with the absence of lots of bonus collectable like those old Nintendo games that can be transfered to your GBA on the Gamecube, this actually feels like it's lacking more stuff than it's predecessor and that's what 3 - 4 years old?

A great AC game if your new to it, but to veterans.... MEH!!!




OH and digitalnicotine thank you for having an avatar of my favorite character ever... I love my totoro :D

Grr, kinda annoyed that I can't bring my US Wild World character into my European AC Wii game :mad:. But I like this. Still prefer the DS version for portability mind.
