"Animate" still photos for flip-book like effect

Hi all,

I am trying to take a series of still photos and create a flip book type move (not a gif). I tried in iMovie, and I'm having issues (the photos zoom, which is ok but the are auto-cropped and I cannot seem to speed up the time between scenes/frames/photos).

Is there any piece of software that I could use? I really just want to make something simple. I used Photoshop Elements 13 to make a slide show, but again, cannot speed up the time between photos for that "flip-book" like effect.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
