I know this is off topic, but I don't see a place with off topic here. I see some of you with animated avatars, I found a site that has them but how do I put them as my avatar. Plus I don't even know how to put a non animated avatar either.. Say I wanted to put this animated avatar http://avatars.jurko.net/pic/18843/. How would I put this on there?

You can check the FAQ
500 posts are required for an avatar

This is a feature that is reserved for established users on the MacRumors Forums. We require a 500 post minimum (user title 6502a or higher) before you are given the opportunity to upload your own custom avatar. A few users were given avatar privileges before this milestone because they won a forum contest.

Still tell me how to get an animated avatar, so I don't have to create a new thread again when I get 500 posts. How long does it take to get 500 posts? I usually come on here everyday to make about 3-4 posts.

In the menu bar at the top go to User CP. In the sidebar on the left scroll down and click Edit Avatar. All you need for putting an avatar (animated or not) on MacRumors Forums is there.

Don't forget that – as well as a maximum size of 75x75 pixels – your avatar can't be bigger than 29.3KB. Folk sometimes try uploading an animated 'tar that's too big in terms of file size, and wonder why they don't work. ;)
