this is a stupid question to ask, but i dont seem to make anything work, so here goes:
I have photoshop cs3, and i tried to make an animated image, and everything went smooth untill the part where im supposed to save it...
at first i saves as .psd just to save the work, but when i later saved in .gif, the image wouldnt move, it would just stand in the place where i left the timeline marker when i saved the image. i tried opening the image in safari, quicktime, and preview, and even on photoshop the image wont be recognized as an animation :(
can anyone help me?

EDIT:
i figured it out :p it never occured to me that the "save for web and devices" would do the trick (im so slow sometimes >.>)

Try Adobe ImageReady it comes with Photoshop and it's for animated gifs, it's pretty straightforward to use and I think it will get the result you want.
