Animated GIFs. Software help.

I searched this subject and found threads about downloading and uploading gifs. i would like to know about freeware that would allow me to create animated gifs. something simple and robust. thank you.

GIFBuilder. Never tried it, but it's exactly what you're asking for, I think.

There's also GIFQuickMaker [free on the Mac App Store]. Nifty little app, easy to use interface too.
