Animated Gifs work in Snow Leopard... on Safari!!!

animated GIFs have worked for me in Safari since 10.4

Uh, as far as I remember they worked just fine on Leopard.

Well for me whenever I was on a forum with a bunch of animated gifs Safari would crash, until now. Firefox worked fine but Safari didn't.

They always worked here too.. Ate up a crap load more cpu cycles than they had any right to, but still, they worked none the less.
Anyway, Snow Leopard doesn't currently use a version of Safari that is any different to the one in regular Leopard. So neither is it going to perform any differently.

The real question is.....do they finally animate in Quick Look or Preview? Or is Open With > Safari still the only out-of-the-box option?
