Hi. I recently downloaded an animated zombie screensaver (it's quite cool!). But i noticed that, even while NOT activated, my email program slowed up noticeably today. I chose a different screensaver, and the slowness issue disappeared immediately. SO: even when NOT in use, do screensavers slow down the overall performance of the MAC?

No, they shouldn't. It might be worth changing your screensaver to the zombie one again, then rebooting and seeing if the problem persists.

OK, thanks for the quick response. I'll give it a shot and report back later.

have you used wallsaver yet. it allows you to use screen savers as ur desktop, its cool, but i cant get the zombie screensaver and the blood dripping screensaver to be the desktop using wallsaver, but all the others work fine.
