Hi all,
My first post in the iPhone section. I have a 3GS with 3.1 fw installed. When I place outgoing calls using the Contacts listed in the Phone app (not going through the Contacts app), the call animation jerks. It feels as if the app does not get enough memory to execute the command. This does not suppose to be the case when I open my Contacts app and place calls from there. I am aware that the above two methods of placing calls to contacts use different api's but wanted to check if this is normal. I have about 100 contacts with no pictures assigned. Most of them have only one email and a contact number listed and a few of them have two emails and/or contact numbers listed.
I used to sync my contacts from gmail over the air. I have deleted that link to see if it improves the animation, but seems like it has not helped much. Also, the jerky animation via the phone app outgoing calls tends to occur more after having used the iPhone for a while during the day. Sounds logical but I checked the memory available then using the memory app and I had about 80 mb or more memory available. With the phone app always running in the background and about 80 mb memory available, should I still expect jerky call animations? Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Any insights will be appreciated.
Thanks!
