Animations, Expose corners, etc dont work

Hi all

I am a musician from Toronto Canada,
I've owned this mac book pro for almost year and a half and this is the first time i've ever experienced issues with it. Here are the main issues:

My dock animations stopped working, including many other ones, such as when going over book marks in firefox and safari or even just in the main top bar where the apple logo is at the top left of the screen ... or even when right clicking on a random part of the desktop menu that pops up ... when I put my mouse over it no blue highlight occurs ...
also my expose doesn't work also ... its activated but its not working.

here are system specs:
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Hard Drive Cap: 150 GB

What OS do you have, have you installed anything recently that might have caused this error? Have any Hacks installed?


Have you restarted the machine? Are you up to date?

thank you for the response ... I have no hacks installed I've been doing the same thing pretty much since I purchased this machine, I record live music with Ableton 7 .... watch movies, and type up university essays. I have a decent amount of computer knowledge but I couldn't find a solution to this issue. I have restarted, doesn't do anything. It is up to date.

I have OS X Leopard 10.5.5 Intel Core 2 Duo processor
2 gigs ram 150 gb hard drive
