I can't believe that will all the other great stuff they had to show off, they dedicated that much time to something so stupid.
 
I loved it. It's new and fun. It added a little levity to the proceedings. They are just trying to show where we can go with the technology as software developers get cracking on AR and taking advantage of the new cameras. Some things will be silly fun and some will have very practical use. It's not that huge a deal and as a feature can be ignored. But given the popularity of those obnoxious Snapchat filters, I imagine there's going to be a market for animoji.

AR on a phone is not ideal platform, but I guess it's the best we've got until we improve that technology for glasses.

I'm sure you don't hate fun. You probably just wanted to hear more about other things.
