Is Anyone else having any issues with the Anker Powerwave wireless charger? When I use it makes my phone really hot and when I take it off the stand and try to use it iOS is very sluggish and barely usable. It freezes and barely moves at all. I have to wait for the iPhone to cool down a little bit then iOS starts working fast again. I believe I will send this back as I am very disappointed in the this wireless charger and I don't want it to mess my battery up either.

That’s disappointing to hear. I was contemplating buying a wireless charger stand and this one was at the top of the list. I’m sure the performance issue is do to how hot the phone becomes and will return to normal when it cools off.. Hopefully you can figure out a solution..

While I have the anker wireless charging Stand (not the powerwave 7.5 stand) and works fine for me. Never had any issues with my phone getting hot or sluggish.

The cable, plug that Anker uses should also be checked. Heat kills and sounds like you shouldn’t even try using it.

I have Samsung wireless stand and its perfect.

A reasonable about of heat should be expected if you are charging at the maximum input. If the phone is hot and slow 1 of 2 things are happening, CPU is slowed due to high temp or it was syncing data (organizing face data, spotlight indexing, iCloud back up, etc) and when you pull it off the charge it’s somewhat “preoccupied”.

Anker products have been hit or miss for me. I had (and returned) one of there USB data hubs that underloaded charged with 5.3v which is out of spec for USB (5v +/-5%). Not a huge deal but a little disconcerting. I got a different model and it’s fine (5.1v).

While not related to wireless charging..but related to temperature. Last summer on my iphone 6 plus, during very hot days while I play Pokemon Go outside, the phone would be super hot. My iphone 6 plus would keep pausing/freezing most likely due to the phone overheating. As soon as the phone cools down a bit, the game/iOS resumes normal speed.

But I'm kinda concerned with wireless charging and temperature in general so haven't jumped on wireless charging yet..

I use the PowerWave stand and haven't encountered an issue (yet). I don't know if it matters, but I use an iPhone 8+ with Apple's Leather case.

I have the Anker Powerwave 7.5 stand and have had no problems with my iPhone X. It gets a little warm, that's all. Try a different wireless charger (or exchange yours) to make sure its not a phone problem?
