Anker USB-C Hub not reading sd cardS

Anyone else have a 7in1 USB-C Hub from anker where the micro sd slot isnt reading sd cards? I tried three different cards and none seem to work.
I'm using a Macbook Air M1 with the latest updates installed.
 
Same problem here with an Elecife hub for my M1 Mini. It occasionally recognizes an SD card, but usually not. Powering down (unplug from Mini) and back up again (plug back in) gets it working for a while.
