Originally announced at CES back in January, the U.S. version of Anker's highly anticipated 736 USB charger is now available through Amazon for $75.99 in black/silver.

Using Anker's GaN II technology, the 100-watt 736 charger is 34% smaller than Apple's 96-watt charger, yet offers the flexibility of three USB ports to charge multiple devices when needed.

The 736 includes two USB-C ports and a USB-A port, and it will intelligently divide power among the ports depending on how many are in use. When either USB-C port is used alone, it will deliver a full 100 watts of power, fully supporting any Mac notebook other than the fast charging capabilities of the 140-watt charger that comes with the latest 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

Two-port setups allow for the largest number of possible combinations depending on which ports are used. If the two USB-C ports are used together, the top one will provide 60 watts while the bottom one will provide 40 watts. Combining the top USB-C port and the USB-A port will deliver 80 watts and 18 watts respectively, while combining the bottom USB-C port and the USB-A will provide a 60-watt and 22.5-watt split.

If all three ports are used, the top USB-C port will deliver 45 watts, the bottom USB-C port will deliver 30 watts, and the USB-A port will deliver 18 watts.

The 736 joins the similar Anker 735 charger introduced earlier this month that also includes two USB-C ports and a USB-A port, but only delivers a maximum of 65 watts of power.

I would love this as a second charger to throw in my backpack with my 16" MBP. Gonna wait to see some reviews first though; I'm worried this thing is going to get hot as hell.

I just got one, been using it for two days. Charged my MacBook Pro iPad Pro and an iPhone at the same time.

Works great.

Been waiting for this ever since It was announced at CES. The charger feels very heavy for its size (not in a bad way).
Snagged the black one, the white one doesn't seem to be available.

My Baseus 100W GaN charger gets hot when charging my 2019 16" MBP on it, IMO it's better use the original Apple MBP charger instead.
Exactly why do you care if it gets hot? I don't understand how people just arbitrarily decide how hot their electronics are allowed to be. I've got a few baseus chargers and I find them to run cooler than average. I've also measured them and they have pretty stable voltage regulation. A way better value than Anker imho.

My 2019 16" MBP had its logical board damaged on its PPBus_G3H component, and I was charging it on my Baseus 100W GaN charger when it happened.

I can not tell for sure whether it was caused or not by the Baseus 100W GaN charger, but I really don't want to risk anymore.

The original Apple 96W charger runs cooler.

(PPBus_G3H is the main power rail of the Mac. It is powered from either the battery or DC in)

Always so interesting to me to see how Anker can consistently out-compete and out-innovate Apple at its own game.

Well; the laptop is responsible for current regulation. The adapter is responsible for voltage regulation. So if you think the device caused the error, it's have to be jamming significantly high volts into the device. I haven't seen anyone measure these things overvolting. Also I believe PPBus_G3H might be a common failure in this model (Not 100% sure though). Didn't Rossman complain about the design of the power rails on some MBP's?

Next; as a credit to apple, their adapters do have REALLY solid voltage output. You typically see <.01 volts over/under.

I tend to like Anger products for their price/performance, but in this case. I dont think the lower price makes this a buy over the 100-W GaN USB-C charger from Hypershop...
