We're over a month away from Black Friday, but as always we're already seeing a few retailers kick off very early "pre-Black Friday" events. Today that includes Anker, which is offering up to 50 percent off select charging accessories, as well as a buy one, get one half off sitewide through October 18.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with some of these vendors. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

In terms of the BOGO sale, you'll need to purchase two charging products that are not already discounted in order to get the discount. If two or more items are purchased, Anker will automatically take 50 percent off the least expensive item.

There are plenty of other Anker accessories with straight cash discounts right now on Anker's website and on Amazon as well. All of the accessories listed below have codes that will be applied once you add them to your cart, and there are a few products being matched at Amazon.

Wall Chargers
Portable Batteries
As we get closer to Black Friday on November 24, be sure to keep an eye on our Black Friday Roundup, which will track all of the best Apple and Apple-related deals of the season. You can also head to our full Deals Roundup to get caught up with all of the latest deals and discounts that we've been tracking over the past week.

It is part of BOGO!!!

I will wait till blackfriday and see if other retailers could come with discount on single item.

Worst case scenario will just buy from apple.com since I still have plenty apple gift cards from Mac edu promotion in summer

I want that 3-in-1 magnet charging cube so bad!

My most used Anker device. Clever, compact, design.

My request of Anker: Please make more powered chargers I can travel with.

One design feature that makes me reject any charger: A flat plug that causes the cable to be positioned at an angle as it leaves the outlet. I travel a lot for work and fun. (pre-pandemic American Airlines EP) . The plug design that gives the highest probability of working anywhere: a plug that positions the cord to leave directly away from the wall. Not angled down / up.

Example Scenario:
  • The only hotel bedside power could be at bedside lamp’s base. (Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas maybe it was?)
  • Plugging in a flat plug with an angled cable causes the entire bedside lamp to be lifted and tilted slightly, causing instability.
  • When getting up in the middle of the night, light gets bumped, falls over, breaks the bulb, etc etc
  • More frequent problem: something will be blocking the cord going in that direction, so the plug can’t be plugged in at all
Net: My favorite all time Anker travel charger:

for a feature you can NOT see on the page, combined with those you can. (2 USB-C, 2 USB-A, the flattest possible design)

What is the feature you can not see? Simply a plug that plugs straight into the wall. The cable only occupies the airspace directly behind that plug, the most frequently available airspace when you travel.

A second feature you can’t see that makes that a great travel charger: The ABSENSE of a button to turn off the power to the ports. That button creates the travel nightmare situation of having a dead phone. I ’upgraded’ to a different Anker device with that button. Very next trip: A 2 second power glitch in the hotel caused the device to power-on with that default power to the ports OFF. Next morning before my presentation, my phone was dead. Accidentally bumping that button created same problem.

❤️ Thank you to the Anker product manager who controls that devices design.

I have their 65w 3-in-1 charger and while I love the convenience it's sometimes rather flaky; plugging in a device sometimes won't tell the adapter to start charging it. I've come back to many an iPhone or Apple Watch that I've plugged in and thought was charging only to have the device dead or even more depleted. I have to unplug the cable from the power brick, plug it back in, then plug the device back in and it suddenly recognizes it again. I've learned to confirm charging has started before leaving the device to do its thing.

Anyone use the Anker usb-c to Ethernet (2.5Gb) product? I need one for my Mac mini. I know Belkin sells one as well.

Thoughts/suggestions…

Isn’t this the same company that lied about their security cameras and doubled down when called out about security issues? Massive security issues too like your cameras being exposed to the open internet.

It is the same company, but what’s that gotta do with chargers and batteries?

Why support a company in any regard after that horrible fiasco? Every product has security issues but the way they doubled down after being called out, nobody should ever support them. Cameras or chargers.

I’ve been using Anker ever since I had an iPhone 6 fried because of a cheap USB cable years ago. But I’ve finally got sick of their ********. I only need their cheaper USB-C cables these days, but they’re always out of stock of them. Trying to make you buy their more expensive cables I guess. And they’ve been slow to release chargers with plenty of USB-C ports. They’ve got some now. But now I’d have to replace the charger I already bought back when I really wanted one with more USB-C ports, wasted money.

Anker needs to recommit itself to being a low cost, highly reliable company that adopts new standards more quickly.

Having given up on them actually doing that, I’ve switched to Belkin. Bought my first two Belkin cables this weekend. Guess I’ll see how Belkin goes.

Anker had a live stream yesterday and they gave out a discount code for the Cube; code : Ankerlive1 gives you a 20% discount. Deal ends 10/18/2023

BOGO 50% on the cube.

This is..nice? It brings the average price to $112, and then I have two of them when I only want on. Great deal/discount for someone who needs two, but otherwise… ankerlive1 still works and brings it to $119 (and you only have to buy one).
