Does anyone else feel that the blowback on Apple would have been way less had they been able to ship these things closer to the announcement date? They've left this vacuum where they're asking potential customers to accept the shortcomings of a new machine without anyone really getting to validate whether the changes in cost, features, and capabilities are outweighed by the improvements.
I think the least they should have been able to do was have demo models in-store for people to try.
