Why is it that when you set the event alert for the normal greater time period and the second alert for the naturally lesser one, when you click on the "Done" button it swaps them round on the iPhone?!!! What idiot programmed the ios to do this?!!

Probably because one would want to see the timer that will end first....first on the list. If you're such a amazing programmer you should make a timer app that can do that!

I don't think you're quite getting it. I'm not talking about the way it lists the alerts, as I'm not bothered about that, but rather the order in which they happen. When you set a first alert followed by second alert, the first alert should be naturally a greater length of time from the event and the second one as a backup closer to it, but with enough time to still get ready for it. The problem is when you select "Done", ios swaps the two timings around which is utterly pointless!!
