annoying CD drive noise

Hello everyone,

recently i watched a movie, batman on my macbook. its legit, its not pirated or anything. i left the CD inside and closed to lid since it was really late. when i woke up and opened the lid, the cd drive started to make a funky noise. i took the CD out and i thought it would fix it. but since then, everytime i start the computer or open the lid after its closed, it makes that nose. its really annoying

i would love it if this is fixed

I don't know what your noise is, but Macbooks always make a noise from the CD drive when you wake them from sleep or turn them on.

It thinks there is still a CD in the drive and is searching for it. Insert a CD, then hit the eject button. I think that will make it stop.
