Annoying Flash plug-in

I quit Chrome last night, came back to my MBP this morning and noticed something was eating away at my CPU usage. iStat menus told me it was Chrome, but when I checked Activity Monitor it pinpointed the Flash plug-in as the problem.

Safari is my primary browser and I've never had this problem before. For Chrome/Flash users out there: is it likely to happen again?
