annoying horizontal lines on the screen

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016) with MacOS Mojave, and for a while now, I've been noticing horizontal lines mainly with blue colored objects (like the attached image).

Do you think this is something that can be solved without sending the computer back for repairing?

I've tried:
- fiddling with screen resolution and profile
- rebooting
- adjusting the screen inclination

Do the same lines appear when connected to an external monitor? If not, it's not a software issue and will probably require a trip to the Apple store or Apple service centre.

it's just on the mac screen unfortunately

Try running the built-in diagnostics, check for loose connections and/or take it in for diagnosis and repair.

I'm having the same issue:

It’s more likely somethign on the board and not something specific to the screen (though there’s a small chance it’s related to the ribbon cable). I’ve seen this on several MBP’s over the years, and each time it’s been a GPU problem. But there are many possible causes that match your symptoms.
