Annoying Imovie quirk

I never can figure this out.. Sometimes when i am working on a long movie.. all of a sudden the editing bar on the bottom, where all the clips are displayed.. automatically scrolls to the ending point of the movie, unless i move my mouse off of the editing ruler thing. This gets so annoying lol. How can i fix this?
