Usually, if I copy the contents of a whole page to paste in onto another page in the same document, everything gets placed to within a mm or so from it's original position on the previous page. Sometimes though, it might offset it a little further off centre than that so with everything selected, I then enter the co-ordinate of the top left of the group, eg x=0, y=0.

However, quite often when this happens, I get an error message in respect to 'these measurements would cause items to move off the pasteboard or case the stroke weight to be too small' or similar. The thing is, if I then MANUALLY move the items to where I want them, lo and behold all is well with the world - anyone else experiencing such a thing? iMac 2.8, Leopard 10.5.7, InDesign CS3 v5.0.4
 
I've not experienced it myself I'm afraid...

However, may I ask why you don't just 'Paste in place' Cmd+Opt+Shift+V I believe. It should plonk everything you copied/cut in the exact same place.
