Hey guys
There is a little annoying thing that is occurring with my itunes, in that when I start itunes up I always get this annoying message saying something like itunes would like to connect to the internet, please check your firewall settings blah blah... "cancel" or "allow"...Now the thing is, in my firewall settings I have got an exception rule that is suppose to be allowing itunes to have access to the internet..Its the only program that I have got an exception rule to allow to have access to the internet, yet it is asking me constantly when i start it up if it can go on the net....

I agree it's annoying. Anyone know why this happens? However you can fix it by throwing your current iTunes app in the trash and download it again.

I think the iTunes bundle was incorrectly code-signed by Apple at one point. If the OP wishes to check, he can open Terminal (in Utilities) and enter

Code:
codesign -vvv /Applications/iTunes.app

Here's what he wants to see:

Code:
codesign -vvv /Applications/iTunes.app
/Applications/iTunes.app: valid on disk
/Applications/iTunes.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement
