Anyone else notice these little oddities with High Sierra 10.13.1?
  • I have an archive of icons and icon folders that I've collected throughout the years, and sometimes I change application icons, folder icons, etc. After installing macOS High Sierra (clean, from scratch), I noticed that all icons in this archive with a 'folder' file type doesn't display the assigned icon, just the generic macOS X blue folder. On my other mac with 10.12, all icons display normally regardless of file type.
  • It looks like High Sierra doesn't properly sort desktop wallpapers in the System Preferences preview window. I added a folder (in the left pane) which points to my saved wallpaper collection and it looks like they are sorted randomly. With 10.12, they were sorted normally (alphabetically), which comes in handy when you want to scroll through and get to a specific section (holiday, specific artist, etc.), knowing that they are in alphabetical order.
I have two Macs with High Sierra and they both have these issues. My older Mac running 10.12 displays everything fine. I know these aren't big issues, but ya know, it's the little things...

Maybe I am missing something? A setting? Or if there is no fix, does anyone have similar odd issues you'd like to share?

pretty sure the non-alphabetical sorting has to do with apple's new file system, and should be sorted out (at some point). i see this in Logic X, and a couple of other places.

probably those icons were on default folders, that's happened to me (on a couple of icons). copy them from your other mac, should be ok...
