Hey everyone,
I have been researching a problem with my early 2008 MacBook Pro (the one right before unibody) involving the keyboard and mouse. Essentially what happens is that the keyboard and trackpad will randomly turn off. No keys work, and the LED on the caps lock button does not turn on when toggled. There doesn't seem to be any way to specifically initiate the problem, but it fixes itself if I shut the lid and reopen it. External keyboards and mice have no problem and work consistantly.
I have found many, many threads on this subject but most seem to have a problem of it turning back on eventually, which mine does not (I left it on constantly for about 48 hours checking periodically). Other people have the issue that seems to deal more with the keyboard/trackpad failing entirely.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help!
