Annoying Mailbox issue.

I would like to get rid of the highlighted gmail folder (picture attached) as well as all the subfolders associated with it. It behaves separately to my gmail mailbox above it and is unnecessary. Trying the logical thing and removing it via right click gives me an error that is also attached.

Any ideas appreciated.
