Annoying mic red icon on right up corner of screen Mac mini M2 ventura, just covering the export area function on FCPX.
Mic, Siri and voice over disabled.
Found this below but it does not work:
Please go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Voice Control and disable the option to Enable Voice Control to see if that turns off the icon.
Thanks

The only app that can use Mic is Audacity, which I have used for a decade. This appeared when I switched from Mini M1 to M2 Pro copying everything from the previous machine. On the other hand, if an App is not open, how is it possible that it appears there? If it is there it must be system related. Facetime, Voice recorder, Whatsapp, all disabled, Google voice-mic not activated.
Note: Mac does weird things forcing the user to ditch useful machines when they still have a long life in ahed. My Mini M1 512-16Gb was not accepted as trade-in for the new one, veeery bad, it worked well till Monterey, when upgraded to Ventura the ethernet port stopped working, had to do the hardship to go back to Monterey. Been in computers for 40 years, 25 with Windows and 16 with Mac...It is all about business, sorry...

A quick google search found it. It’s not from the OS. Are you using a Logitech keyboard. It’s in the Logitech Options + settings.

Thanks, will check that. I've been using both keyboard and mouse for three years on the M1 and Monterey, so this was not an issue to check with the M2 and Ventura....but yes.

A setting under Accessibility>Live Speech Live Speech toggle seems to switch the icon on/off.

I also have a Logitech keyboard that I'm not using at the moment. Will try that as well.

You go to Logitech Options > Settings > turn off "Mic mute/unmute notification"
