Annoying new autocorrect

Every time I type "ur" the new iPhone 5 autocorrects to "it". My iPhone 4 never had this issue. Anyone else noticing this? Is there a way to fix this?

After like two times it learns what you want and will stop trying to fix it

it learns as you use it, when you initially typed in "ur" the first time on your old phone it did the same thing I promise.

After you correct it on the new one a few times it will learn as well.

Text expansion is a tremendously underused feature. Thanks for the reminder.

Coming from an iPhone 4 the keyboard is way more responsive. Nothing lags like my iPhone 4 did. Now I feel I can type much faster.

I think the keyboard is terrible. It lags compared to the 4S. It will often skip keys when typing. Hopefully it is due to the new screen size and my hands haven't adjusted yet.

I experienced this A LOT with the 4S as well, which is why I'm asking about the 5.

So many horrible horrible memories of missed keys and insane auto corrections... :T

I didn't see anything about the keyboard discussed during Apple's keynotes, so it seems they haven't really improved it.

I sincerely hope you are a history professor and are frequently discussing the ancient Sumerians.

If I ever catch my daughter typing "ur", I will promptly confiscate her device.
