I installed and uninstalled MPlayerX (didn't like it). Since then, a macOS notification will pop up every now and then, prompting to download "djay Pro".

I've tried installing and uninstalling MPlayerX again, just to see if there are any options to remove the notification, but there appears to be nothing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, if anyone is thinking of installing MPlayerX, don't. I ended up with Mackeeper after the install (which did not even hint at Mackeeper being installed). I used AppCleaner to remove Mackeeper.

Either run Malwarebytes for Mac or remove the files at ~/library/launchagents.and potentially /library/launchagents and /library/launchdaemons.. please keep in mind there will likely be other apps that have installed to these locations depending on what you use.. so if you delete all you may break something..

Indeed, I found a launch plist file with "djay Pro" in its name (in the user library folder). Thanks for the tip!
