I keep getting this annoying pop-up when I'm in Firefox - You have chosen to open rpc.html with is a hyper text. What should Firefox do with this file?

Anyone know what this means and how to get rid of it? Thanks so much.

If you google for that text you'll find a lot of people on comcast are reporting it. Have a root around and see if you can find some fixes, but most messages are new.

Thanks...

...Everyone. I appreciate your help. It doesn't surprise me that it's a Comcast problem. If I had a choice I wouldn't use them for anything. Once I find the
"rpc" file, do I simply delete it off my Mac? Thanks again for your help.

I would drag it to the trash and make sure it doesn't cause any issues before emptying the trash. I personally also open it in TextWrangler or some such to see what is in it and what it does.

Cheers

I know this isn't the same thing, but..... sort of connected, In Safari, even with BLOCK POP-UP WINDOWS ticked, why do we still get POP-UP WINDOWS?

Just wondered....

Strange

Now, I'm probably going to show my ignorance, but when I go into spotlight and search my Mac for rpc.html, nothing comes up.

I would drag it to the trash and make sure it doesn't cause any issues before emptying the trash. I personally also open it in TextWrangler or some such to see what is in it and what it does.

Cheers
