Annoying Problem with iPhoto

Hey guys,

this is doing my nut in! All I want to do is a slide show in iPhoto of my latest holiday. I know how to actually start the slide show (its really simple) but it is really slow! I have played about with the settings to no avail.

What is weird is that if i start a slide show say of all photos of 2007, it works fine up to the point of my latest photos and then it crawls....

any ideas?
