Annoying QuickTime Problem - DivX Decoder

Quite frequently while watching movies in QuickTime, it unexpectedly quits. I get this message every time:



When I open the video back up and go to a few seconds before from where I left off, it quits again at precisely the same moment.

Also when using Quick Look (Space Bar), it will force quit the Finder. Its a very confusing and annoying situation and has been for a couple months now. Anyone know of a fix or a definition of the problem?
