Hello all...

2018 Mac Mini.
OS 10.14.6
Using Safari with AdBlock Plus extension installed.

I went to a discussion board I visit daily today, and for the first time, started getting this icon that "sticks to" the bottom right corner of windows:

Clicking on the icon produces a sort of "popup" that looks like this:

If I click the "+" (toggle) sign, I'm taken to something that looks like this:

Note there is an "add" button in lower right.
But there is no way to remove any of this stuff.

It's very annoying, just started today.

I noticed that it seems to be specific to one particular website.

Turning javascript OFF removes it, but also removes a few other features needed on this website.

I wondered if it could be malware, but MalwareBytes finds nothing.

Has anyone else seen this?
If so, have you found a way to make it "go away" ...?

Thanks for reading.

That sounds like a feature that was added to that website itself. I don’t think that’s on your local machine.

Runs, I'm thinking that as well.
I just booted my OLD 2012 Mini, running an older version of Safari.
The annoying share icon doesn't appear on the older Safari.

Isnt adblock plus the crappier version where if you pay money, you can get your ads whitelisted? i use adguard with the social annoyances filter turned on and i get none of that garbage

Two developments...

1. I installed "Ghostery Lite". After installation, the "share" icon is gone.

2. I notified the owner of the forum, who said she would "pass it on" to the person who administers the website.

So... it could be either one. Perhaps Ghostery Lite did the trick, or perhaps the web administrator removed whatever it was that was putting up the icon.

So... seems to be solved for now.
