Hi guys.

I have a very nerving problem that I first noticed about four days ago:
I own a MacBook Late 2008 13" unibody.
Everytime I release the trackpad after clicking I hear a strange noise that can be described as kind of a "boing" sound. It clashes/clatters/rattles.

I probed the causes of that phenomenon and I found out that the sound comes out of the DVD drive! I tested clicking on the multitouch trackpad when a CD is inserted that way that it isn't pulled in by the drive 100%. Then the noise is completely gone....

I have a soundfile that demonstrates the sound. The first clicks are made without a Disc in the Drive. After that there is a pause - I put a Disc in the Drive. I click again and no abnormal sound can be heard.

I hope you understand my problem as I am writing from Germany and my English is O.K. but far away from being good.

Any suggestions?

At first I thought it could be something with the spring in the trackpad, but I can't figure out what the DVD drive would have to do with that.
