With the introduction of a proper App Store there's going to be programs pushing the limits of capability. I'm wondering if they're going to release more regular hardware updates. Personally, I don't really like the idea of having one more thing to update every couple of years to maintain support and features, but I can imagine it might happen. Thoughts?

I hope so. 4k is here. Content is coming and you're right, gaming is going to push the envelope for more capability.

I believe we'll start to see more regular updates for the AppleTV. Up until this point Apple didn't have much motivation to update it. It (ATV3) could provide content from iTunes thus bringing in revenue but that was it.

Now with an app store and 3rd party devs Apple will have incentive to make it more powerful to keep the App Store relevant with the latest and greatest apps.
