I have a work Iphone and received an anonymous text from someone. I would like to know the number of who sent it. I dont have access to the at&t account since it is through my work, but if I asked my supervisor to check will the number be displayed in the text logs on the account?

It should show the number, but that won't tell you who it is.

The message sends a picture of a man and woman and wants me to meet them for drinks

no not naked, im just wondering who is sending them or if i contact at&t if they can get a number of what phone texted it. From what i have googled "Anonymus" txts come from an email account. Is that true or can they also come from a cell phone.

They can come from emails 2 ways that I know of. your phone number XXXxxxXXXX@mms.att.net or if it was another Apple user, it may be an iMessage.

AFAIC, I always feel if someone chooses to be anonymous in their communication, I don't have to give them any attention whatsoever. They can get stuffed. :) Probably spam anyway.

You could enable show messages from in my contacts and it will only show messages from people in your contacts and not any random number. You'll still get the message but you won't be notified. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1399497728.266666.jpg
