Ok I have been searching this forums and the guide tab above for 2 days now for my apache webserver problem. My apache has been enabled (system pref-->shared-->clicked on Personal web sharing) Next step, I type in "http://localhost" in my URL Safari browser, I get an apache webpage in my browser. So I know that part is working. Next step is I make a simple php file <? phpinfo(); ?> and save it as php.php in this directory Mac HD-->Users-->my name--->sites-->php.php ... i type in my safari browser URL http://localhost/~myname/php.php ..... I get a forbidden message telling me that I dont have permission accessing this server. I have worked hard all day trying to pinpoint where the problem is at. I have used this guide http://guides.macrumors.com/Working_with_PHP_and_MySQL but is still unsuccessful. I am still getting the forbidden message. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am tired and frustrated. I would like to have a stressfree X-mas tomorrow.. Once again thank you very much and Happy Holidays.
