iPod touch Another app for music?

Hey everyone I was wondering if there is another app that uses less space for music files. I'd like to know if there is another app other than music where i can transfer my music from itunes onto my ipod touch 4th gen. My iPod is 8gb so im trying to save as much space as possible. If there isnt any app to transer my itunes songs than is there atleast any app to get all my saved music from my computer that DOESNT use wifi?

Other music apps won't make the song file sizes smaller.

The songs will still stay the same size.

Only way is to delete what songs you don't want.

I'd suggest iTunes Match, but since you don't want to use WiFi there's really no other option.

Have you converted all yours songs to 128kbps?

I have and it has saved me over a gigabyte of storage.

Just for comparison sake, I have 723 songs that take up 5.4 GB on my iPhone. All are encoded at 256 kbps AAC. In the iTunes summary panel, you can choose to make iTunes convert all tracks to 128 kbps which should save more space in the Summary tab.
