Another iCal issue after 10.7.2 update

Well, I've experienced the double entries issue after the 10.7.2 update. So I thought "ok, that doesn't work". I deleted the iCloud syncing, and went back to syncing with Google Calendar. But guess what? All the future events disappear! Only one in November still shows (I have no idea why). I went to my google calendar and sure enough, all future events are gone except for the one in November. So I re-added iCloud calendar syncing, now the future events are back, but so do double entries. I am confused now, how do I go back to how it was before? Btw, I can't restore from Time Machine, is it because I haven't made a full backup after the 10.7.2 update?
