I just got off the phone with ATT and it looks like there may be yet another issue with the Iphone 4.

I noticed yesterday when I was out watching the soccer game, that my 3G suddenly dropped off my new Iphone 4. No matter what I did (reset network, turn 3g on/off, data on/off) the 3G would not return. It was working fine on Thursday/Friday so I thought it was a local tower misbehaving so I blew it off. However, when I drove around town I noticed that 3G never came back on. Edge works fine with 5 bars and no issues with voice. However, no matter what I did, 3G was not coming back. Confirmed Edge speed with the speedtest app.

Let it sit overnight and called ATT. They had me do the network reset and toggle the other switches with no change. They also had me backup and restore the phone. No 3G.

The rep told me that they are having alot of calls on this right now with just Iphone 4's dropping 3G and not getting back on the faster network.

I am in Louisville, KY which, believe it or not, actually has good ATT 3G coverage. The ATT rep told me that a good number of calls they are taking this morning are on this issue and it is not limited to my location.

She opened a ticket for me. Awaiting resolution.

Anyone else having issues?
