Simple Tunes
Updated with correct link

Visualit meet Apple legal. Apple legal meet Visualit. :D

Heh. Not only are they ripping off the interface but its butt ugly too. The least they could have done is rippoff the iPods looks as well. :p

Budda! Budda! Budda! Kaproomshkapow! Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaoooooonnnnnn! BOOM!

Crash and burn.

I give them a week (maybe 2 since they did not make an exact duplicate of the external frame like the last guy did). Makes you wonder if this programmer read the enews.

That's now an actual music player. From what i get from the page is that u can download some software to you PDA and turn it into a MP3 player.

Which is exactly what pPod (later pBop or some other stupid name) was. Except this looks even more like ****.

10 on the Uglyometer

I guess this is why they pay Jonathan Ives the big bucks.

When will the PC Zero-Imagination crowd learn that talent is not a commodity item, and UI design is not a 4.AM programmer afterthought.

Good design requires specialists, not hobbyists. Any graphic designer who lived through the "Desktop Publishing" debacle in the early 90's knows what I am talking about.

Or better yet, web design in 1997! It wasn't just the limitations of HTML made the web butt ugly in the early days, it was also down to the people doing the design.

It takes about 5 years for the truth to sink into the masses, and suddenly they start returning to the designers and paying for talent again.

That's why after every great Apple Idea, the PC copycats clone it and sell bundles, until it becomes obvious that their designs are going nowhere and have fallen behind the fashions and people stop buying.

Dammit, I can STILL go to the Warehouse (equivalent of Wal-Mart) and buy a kitchen whizz in a Bondi Blue knockoff.

Get a clue, Joe average!

Another thing... you'd have to pay me to take one of those things... and you'd also have to agree that I would be able to flush it down the toilet when i get it. :)

Wasn't there another one just liek this called pPod or something?

Well Apple Legal put an end to that one, and they will end this one soon enough as well!

Well that wasn't a skim -- It was a program.

And it allowed you to play something on your iPac and stuff like the iPod interface.

This Simple Tunes is the same thing. A program for a PocketPC that looks like an iPod.

Ironic that the song playing is "Stolen Car" by Sting. Perhaps it should have been reworded to "Stolen Interface". Apple Legal Dept., Sic!

Geez guys chill out...there is not going to be an ipod made that is going to look like that. It is just a skin for a MP3 player for your PDA

*Requirements:

Any Pocket PC OS.

Xscale, ARM.

400 k Memory.

anyway...what type of person would buy something who looked like that anyway
